On its Twitter account, Google clarified that the possibility of bringing Fiber to Dallas include just that specific metropolitan area – not suburbs or its neighboring city, Fort Worth.

Taking its ongoing fight with AT&T and other incumbents to the next level, Google Fiber today stated the company is considering expanding into yet another sprawling urban market: Dallas.
A company statement says Texas has been home to Google Fiber operations or planned offerings the past three years, in Austin and San Antonio.
Alphabet (GOOGL) stock closed up by 0.19% to $733.25 on Tuesday, as the Mountain View, CA-based company’s search engine giant, Google, explores another major city to expand its fiber networks, CNBC reports.
Dallas is a potential city for Google Fiber.. Fiber already exists in five USA cities, including Austin. “It will mean new ways for families to stay in touch and stream their favorite shows, and new opportunities for businesses-especially businesses in Dallas’ budding tech sector-to grow and be more productive”.
“Google Fiber will help Dallas attract even more tech talent, and push the city further toward the future”, Szuchmacher wrote.

Google will begin working with local leaders in Dallas to assess the area’s existing infrastructure and examine factors that could affect the deployment of Fiber in the region, according to today’s announcement.
