Web traffic to Alphabet.com increased by more than 5000pc following Larry Page’s announcement that Google would become the largest subsidiary of a new holding company called Alphabet.

Recalling the achievements of new Google Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sundar Pichai, his teachers and friends have sent in their best wishes to the former on bagging the top post in the search engine giant. There’s still a lot going on within Google, but the glucose-sensing contact lens in development now falls under Life Sciences, which is under the conglomerate – excuse me – I mean, under the collection of companies that Alphabet holds. The company says that its new structure will give more independence to many of its wide – ranging and ambitious projects.
Moody’s “long-term concerns” include the potential for Google’s core business to “become mature and potentially decline, and some of the start-up or speculative businesses which it has been incubating and funding become successful and material”, wrote Begley.
Many have in contrast Alphabet’s company constitution compared to that of Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway, which often owns a varied selection of… Google, on the other hand, is now headed by its newly hired CEO, Sundar Pichai. The company will be traded as Alphabet by the end of the year.
Pichia joined Google in 2004 as its VP of product management.

And, why the name Alphabet? Before that, he was SVP of Google Android, Chrome and Apps, working on consumer products “used by millions of people”, the filing said. Its business ventures have grown impressively complex and it is just about time for the company to distinguish itself as an industry leader with many different branches.

“This new structure will allow us to keep tremendous focus on the extraordinary opportunities we have inside of Google”, Page said.
