Alternate delegate comments on Cruz, Pence speeches
In a statement issued Wednesday night, the OH chapter of the National Lawyers Guild alleged the Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted a series of “raids” and may have entered a home without a warrant, continuing a practice that disturbed local demonstrators earlier this summer. “The jury’s still out for me”. Pence certainly helps the case, he said. I know I’m not supporting Hillary Clinton, but I’m not certain where I’m going to be on Donald Trump.

But he ran for governor instead, and was facing a tough re-election race this year after several stumbles, including his handling of “religious freedom” legislation he signed into law, and later supported amending.
“I’ve been to four conventions before and there is an aura, there is a buzz in the room that I haven’t seen at the other four conventions”, McMullen said Thursday night while waiting for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump to speak.
He went on to deliver the customary red meat to the delegates, lambasting Clinton, calling her “America’s secretary of the status quo”. “Mike Pence is our vice president”.
And when Trump is elected, the change will be huge, Pence said, drawing out the word in Trump-like fashion.
“Until today, he belonged to IN”, said IN delegate Mike Murphy, a public relations executive. “I can tell you it’s one of those things where everybody is excited”. Ted Cruz urged voters to “vote their conscience” and pointedly refused to offer a direct endorsement of the GOP nominee. “Endorse Donald Trump. That’s all they wanted and he didn’t do it”. The vast majority of convention-goers who spoke with The Huffington Post this week admitted they didn’t know much about Trump’s running mate. Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine stood off to the side on the floor the arena and quietly watched Pence’s speech.
The spectacle was evidence of the rift that still remains within the party – one that Trump’s pick of Pence was meant to heal.

“I haven’t heard any discussion about it really”, DeWine said.
