Aly Raisman’s Family: The Photos You Need to See

But the 22-year-old is not the only one who feels the pressure.

One concerned supporter of team captain Raisman – and her parents Ricky and Lynn – has decided it’s time to give the gymnast’s devoted parents a bit of well-earned downtime.

“I was probably more nervous than Aly”.

Even the best gymnasts rarely make it to multiple Olympics, so Raisman’s final flip on to the podium is that much more impressive.”The crowd is just like so energetic … they’re still so supportive so it’s very special and something that we’ll always cherish”, Raisman said in an interview after winning silver in the all-around competition. So to have your daughter in the Olympics is absolutely fantastic. but there’s a lot of pressure. Everything they’ve worked for for years is now happening, and it all comes down to a few seconds on some pieces of equipment. Rothmeier, who told TODAY that she was previously involved in sports herself, just wants to give the family a chance to come down from the visibly nerve-wracking experience of Rio. Rothmeier said she loves how Raisman’s parents naturally showed their commitment and investment in their daughter’s chosen field.

“She would never say it was harder coming back”, Rick said. The campaign is aimed to treat the couple for a relaxing day at the spa after going through intense nerves while watching Raisman perform her stunts at the Rio Olympic Games 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. “She wanted to do well”.

“You’re so caught up in the moment and you know even though she practices it a million times it’s still, you still got to do it”, Rick said.

“If I don’t manage to get a hold of them, I will donate any money raised to USA Gymnastics”, said Rothmeier. “Then they’ll see what the next big adventure is!”
