Aly Raisman keeps pace with 14.166 bar routineAly Raisman keeps pace with leaders Aliya Mustafina and Simone Biles with a 14.166 on the uneven bars.
The Russian next scored 15,666 on the uneven bars – where she is the reigning Olympic champion – to lead at the half-way point as Biles managed to score only 14,966 on what is her weakest apparatus.
Yes, there was a moment where she seemed human – her routine on the bar was below her best – but even that is beyond most.
Simone Biles confirmed that she is the best gymnast in the world today.
“I was thinking I’ve finally done it, and when that hits you, you can’t stop the emotions”.
“Every emotion hit me at once so I was just kind of a train wreck”, Biles told reporters.
Biles, of Spring, Texas, joins Carly Patterson (2004), Nastia Liukin (2008) and Gabby Douglas (2012) in a string of American all-around champions at the Summer Games. She led the U.S.to team gold on Tuesday and will compete in three individual event finals – floor exercise, balance beam and vault-giving her a chance to leave Rio with five gold medals.
“I’m not a celebrity”. “I’m just Simone Biles, but it’s awesome to be recognized for all of this success for myself and for Team USA”.

This is the second gold for the 19-year-old USA gymnast in Rio, but she still has a chance to win three others in various events, reports Efe. “I’m the first Simone Biles”. “I feel like I did my job tonight”.
