Amanda Seyfried to play a “pivotal” role in Twin Peaks sequel

The revival had hit a snag earlier this year when creator David Lynch announced his departure.
Hot from her stirring turn in, er, “Ted 2“, Amanda Seyfried is returning to TV for a mystery role on Lynch & Frost’s “Twin Peaks“.
According to TVLine, the 29-year-old will appear in multiple episodes as a brand new, “pivotal” character in the cult favorite’s anticipated follow-up.
The role marks Seyfried’s first on the small screen since her HBO series Big Love ended in 2011. It has been part of ’90s pop culture, despite its short run.
Twin Peaks was first aired in 1990, and is based around the story of an investigation into the murder of Laura Palmer (played by Sheryl Lee) carried out by FBI team headed by Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan).
“Twin Peaks” is now shooting in Snoqualmie and North Bend, Washington.
Amanda Seyfried will reportedly be starring in the new “Twin Peaks” series.
“Twin Peaks“, which will hopefully debut its third season in 2016, was created by David Lynch and Mark Frost.
