He launched a scathing attack on the emerging Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its chief Arvind Kejriwal, the ruling Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) especially the Badals, and his own party – the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with his straight drives. “Hence if the appointment order is a void order then the question of office of profit issue does not arise”, he said.

He said Sidhu and his associates, including Pargat Singh, do not have any vision or commitment for the well being of Punjab.
Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Amarinder Singh dismissed on Friday the Awaaz-e-Punjab front led by Navjot Singh Sidhu as “too insignificant and too inconsequential” to have any impact on the political scenario in the state.
Addressing a press conference on the occasion, he said, “Awaaz e Punjab is a revolutionary voice in the state”.
Sidhu added that the political strategy of the front will be announced within next fortnight, but with just five months left for the elections, most political observers think he will not be able to make a significant impact.

Explaining the reason behind his resignation to the Rajya Sabha, Sidhu said it had nothing to do with Kejriwal.

Kejriwal tweeted “I am in shatabdi rt now”. He refused to clear air about his BJP membership. He claimed all well-meaning people were used as decoration pieces and, “I was used as such a showpiece by the BJP for its rallies”, he said. Let me complete it: Kejriwalji told me “don’t fight elections and ask your wife to contest, we will make her a minister”.
