Amazon Debuts a Hub For Researching and Reviewing Cars
“Amazon Vehicles is a great resource for customers who are interested in auto information or looking for a broad selection of parts and accessories – all enhanced by the ability to tap into the knowledge, opinions, and experiences of other auto owners within the Amazon customer community”.

The platform will include specifications, images and reviews on Amazon.com for a large number of auto models, ranging from Tesla Motors’ 2014 Model S to the iconic Ford Mustang 1965.
The new Amazon effort has features similar to car-centric websites such as TrueCar and Autotrader.
In a statement, Adam Goetsch, director of Amazon Automotive, said the objective of the new site is to “support customers during one of the most important, research-intensive purchases in their lives by helping them make informed decisions”. Plus, you can already add information about cars you own to the Amazon Garage.
In addition to checking out parts and information on vehicles like videos, reviews, images and specs customers can chat with other members of the community and ask their burning vehicle questions. Customers can begin researching vehicles today at www.amazon.com/vehicles. The site is created to complement the company’s other auto initiatives such as Amazon Automotive, a marketplace featuring millions of parts and accessories for cars, trucks and motorcycles, and Amazon Garage, which lets shoppers save vehicles in their profiles to make it easier to find parts they need.
One of the few things Amazon doesn’t sell in its “everything store” online are cars.

Amazon is guided by four principles: customer obsession rather than competitor focus, passion for invention, commitment to operational excellence, and long-term thinking.
