Amazon may be planning ‘click and collect’ grocery
The moves mean families will increasingly be able to buy their weekly groceries without ever going inside a supermarket.

To use this service, it will cost you £2 per slot if you’re collecting between Monday and Thursday.
Tesco has begun a same-day click and collect service for grocery orders as the race hots up between retailers to provide the fastest convenience service.
Sainsbury’s have also spoken of plans to have a same-day delivery service at a number of their supermarkets by the end of 2016.
TESCO is launching a new same day Click and Collect service on grocery orders at almost 300 stores across the country.
Shoppers can choose to collect their orders between 4pm and 6pm or 6pm to 8pm on all six days, with no service on Sundays.
Tesco is said to be planning a marketing push to launch the service aimed at Brits on holiday who want to pick up cupboard essentials on their way home from the airport.
In a statement sent to Post&Parcel today (24 August), Tesco said that 90% of its Click and Collect grocery locations will offer same day Click and Collect.
In June the U.S. online retailer waded into Britain’s competitive grocery retail sector by offering Amazon Prime customers in north and east London same-day deliveries on a range of more than 130,000 groceries.

Analysts say that the supermarkets are responding to the growing threat of Amazon in the United Kingdom grocery market following the launch of its “Fresh” delivery service back in June. It make its money by charging a mark-up of 15per cent on the original M&S prices plus a delivery fee of £4.50.
