Amazon offers big deals during second Prime Day
Kohl’s home page today includes a “Monday Beat the Heat” promotion that reads: “Deals today, gone tomorrow”, suggesting its sale may be over before Prime Day even begins. We’ll have to see if this pans out for the company and if it’ll draw subscribers to its $49 annually ShippingPass service-it’s alternative to Amazon Prime.

Thanks to the team at BestBlackFriday.com, this year you can determine what truly are good deals for Amazon Prime Day 2016.
We’ve scoured the web to find you the best deals on good products.
Amazon launched Prime Day past year to celebrate its 20th birthday. Within the first hour of Singles Day 2014, US$2 billion was spent across both domestic and worldwide retail marketplaces.
When it comes to online shopping, Amazon promises its Prime Day is the closest consumers will get to Christmas in July. Walmart also hinted at Prime Day being an offer for a limited elitist crowd.
eBay is gunning for Amazon Prime Day shoppers and Prime members as well, with the words: “Exclusively For Everyone – Always Free Shipping”.
Last summer, most of the “Deals of the Day” that were supposed to be there for nearly twenty four hours were mostly sold out within an hour or so. New deals are expected to pop up as often as every five minutes.
There will also be a number of countdown deals for members running every day from July 5-11. But we certainly didn’t expect it to resonate so well that we ended up having more total sales than Black Friday, just from doing an event targeted at the segment of Prime members.
Another “gift later” victor: this week Walmart.com launched exclusive pre-ordering on “Pie Face Showdown”, the sequel to one of 2015’s biggest games, which will ship to customers more than a month before it’s available elsewhere.

“Prime Day is a unique opportunity to discover new items and great deals, on top of our already low prices”, said Greg Greeley, Vice President of Amazon Prime.
