Amazon offers Prime members free trial to Washington Post
All 94 episodes of “Sex and the City” are now available on Amazon Prime Instant Video, available to USA members of the $99-per-year Prime free-shipping program.

Bezos said he’d like to use what he’s learned building Amazon to improve the Washington Post’s digital footprint. Digital-only national subscriptions-which exclude local news on mobile platforms-have a standard rate of $99 per year. Millions of Amazon Prime customers will soon have access the paper’s digital edition, receiving access to Post articles free of charge for the first six months of membership.

Yesterday (Sept. 16) the company announced Prime members will receive six months of free and unlimited access to The Washington Post National Digital Edition, which retails for a subscription price of $9.99 per month. Amazon doesn’t disclose how many people belong to the Prime program but there are an estimated 35 million to 40 million members.
