You will have to provide your credit card information, but in the fine print Amazon tells you it won’t charge your card until after your 30-day trial is up.

To avoid ending up frustrated, it’s important to first know that this is not Black Friday. Amazon isn’t just stopping with discounts on its own products, though. The TL;DR is that there will be significant markdowns on things you probably are planning to buy at some point anyway, especially in the beauty department.

Estimates from Morningstar (found by Recode) suggest that 79 million households are subscribed to Prime in the United States alone. Like the Barbie Glam Getaway House that was on sale for .49 that was 50 percent off, and the Fisher Price Laugh & Learn Smart Stages Home Play Set that was .99.

In order to access these deals, consumers must have Amazon Prime which can be purchased ahead of the event. Don’t buy it in advance or you won’t get the special price.
