Amazon Prime Day starts Monday night: Tips for getting the best
7 On Your Side’s Michael Finney tells us if the much-hyped Prime Day really offers the best prices. The deal is supposed to last a few more hours but I doubt they’ll keep them in stock that long. You will have to provide your credit card information, but in the fine print Amazon tells you it won’t charge your card until after your 30-day trial is up.

To avoid ending up frustrated, it’s important to first know that this is not Black Friday. Amazon isn’t just stopping with discounts on its own products, though. Naughty Dog didn’t just go through the paces with this game, they worked hard to make the best game they have ever created, and the best action game this generation. Be sure you’re signed up for Prime and ready to go when the super sale starts. As with every other item on Prime Day, it’s only available while supplies last, so move fast if you plan on snagging one.
And on top of that, several individual products are already being offered with free shipping, free returns, or for a marked down price (further deals on the products are TBA). Last year, Amazon beefed up inventory.
The TL;DR is that there will be significant markdowns on things you probably are planning to buy at some point anyway, especially in the beauty department.
It is that time of the year again when Amazon is at its pampering best to its Prime subscribers.
Once installed, Honey will tell you the price history for any product page you visit, and let you add that product to a “Drop List” to be alerted when the price falls.
Estimates from Morningstar (found by Recode) suggest that 79 million households are subscribed to Prime in the United States alone. Like the Barbie Glam Getaway House that was on sale for .49 that was 50 percent off, and the Fisher Price Laugh & Learn Smart Stages Home Play Set that was .99.

In order to access these deals, consumers must have Amazon Prime which can be purchased ahead of the event. Don’t buy it in advance or you won’t get the special price.
