If you’ve been on the fence about subscribing to Amazon Prime, Friday is your best bet to make a choice. When Transparent won big at the 72nd annual Golden Globes, Amazon slashed the price of Prime to $72 for one day.

The figure is in reference to Amazon’s five Emmy wins at this year’s 67th PrimeTime Emmy Awards, the company says – and this is its way of celebrating.

On Friday, September 25th, you can lock in a year of Amazon Prime for just $67 – $32 cheaper than the normal rate of $99. “This has been an incredibly exciting year-with the Golden Globes wins in January and now twelve nominations and five Primetime Emmy wins”. The series is only available on Amazon’s own Video service, which is free to all Prime subscribers. Prime members also enjoy unlimited photo and video storage in the cloud, access to select streaming movies, TV shows, and music, and can borrow one Kindle book per month from over 800,000 available titles at no cost on any Kindle device (and with no due dates). However, with Transparent, and other new series, Amazon has made a name for itself for creating a hands-off, open environment, allowing the talent to go in whatever direction they choose.
