Amazon working on music subscription service for $5 a month: Recode
Amazon Echo is made for familiy life. The first will cost half the normal $10-a-month going rate for streaming services, and would be exclusive to people who have an Amazon Echo personal assistant/streaming device in their home.

In light of the second option, it looks like Amazon wants Echo to flourish and become the go-to platform for many services in the foreseeable future.
Amazon plans to launch a music streaming service for its Echo speaker, according to Recode.
The Echo device, which lets users order household items, get the weather and find other information by speaking in their natural voice, has turned into a surprise hit for Amazon.
Spotify and Pandora has dominated the music streaming industry with their free ad-supported offering but they have also settled on the industry standard $10 charge per month which Amazon is looking to beat, Apple Insider reported.
Both of the new streaming music services would allow users to listen to any tracks they like, free of ads.
With all said and done, are you willing to fork over $4 or $5 a month for restricted but affordable music streaming?

Amazon would like to launch the services in September, but has not finalised deals with major music labels and publishers, Recode reported. It’s a limited catalog compared to competitors Spotify and Apple Music.
