An Amber Alert was canceled for Jacob Steele, a 5-year-old boy, after he was found safe in Sacramento County.
The current suspect is his father, 34-year-old Michael Steele, who was last seen driving a Grey Toyota Tacoma with a California license plate of 22682R1.
The boy, 5-year-old Jacob Steele, was found in a Sacramento area parking lot, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office. Steele was arrested on suspicion of attempted homicide, domestic violence and child abduction. Deputies pulled him over, arrested him without incident and recovered his son, who was wearing pajama trousers and no shirt.
The boy was taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons, Chow said.
San Mateo County sheriff’s deputies had responded at about 4:30 a.m.to the 1800 block of Parrott Drive in the Highlands neighborhood on a domestic violence call, sheriff’s officials said.
