Amber Heard Lawyer Says … ‘Amber is the Victim … Amber is a Hero’

The lawyer accused Heard of using the abuse allegations to try to gain an advantage on the “Pirates” actor in their divorce proceedings.

Heard’s legal team have given a statement claiming that although they “took the high road” in not insisting Amber provide the police with a statement, the comments that have been coming from those involved on Depp’s end has forced their hand, and now she must prove that the allegations of blackmail and lies are far from the truth.

On Friday, when Heard was granted a temporary restraining order, Los Angeles police Sgt. Marlon Marrache said in a statement to People, “On May 21, 2016, officers responded to a domestic incident radio call”.

Heard’s attorneys said in a statement that in an attempt to “protect her privacy and Johnny’s career” the actress initially declined to report to police a May 21 incident between her and Depp that she claimed left her with a bruised eye.

The actress filed for divorce from her husband of 15 months on 23 May, and on Friday, she obtained a domestic violence restraining order against Depp, amid allegations he had been physically abusive to her during a fight two days before she made a decision to end their marriage.

An email message sent to Depp’s publicist was not immediately returned Tuesday.

Amber first released evidence of abuse when she appeared in court to file for a restraining order. She also wrote that the actor pulled her hair, screamed at her and repeatedly hit her and violently grabbed her face. The alleged abuse, Heard said, included “angry, hostile, humiliating and threatening assaults to me whenever I questioned his authority or disagreed with him”.

Heard is now seeking spousal support (her intial $50,000 per month request was denied – as was her request for Depp to attend mandatory anger management) and both are due in court June 17.

In a shocking allegation to the New York Post, Heard’s friend says she feared for the star after Depp allegedly tried to smother his wife with a pillow during a drunken altercation, noted to also be in December. Heard told the judge that her relationship with Depp was hard throughout their 4 years together.

“I have personally witnessed the aftermath of Johnny Depp‘s violent and abusive behaviour towards her on many occasions”.

Meanwhile, new court documents outline Heard’s monthly expenses, which amount to almost $44,000, CNN reported.

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star is now on tour with The Hollywood Vampires – which also includes Alice Cooper, Joe Perry and Matt Sorum – in Europe and his staff have been banned from talking to anyone about the allegations made against Johnny.
