Chris Hardwick is certainly keeping his “Talking” seat warm. As it did with The Walking Dead and Better Call Saul, AMC said today it will air a live after-show following the premiere and season finale of its anticipated new series Preacher with Hardwick as host. The new after-show “Talking Preacher” will debut Memorial Day weekend, on Sunday, May 29 at 10:30 p.m., following an encore airing of the “Preacher” pilot episode. New episodes resume Sunday, June 5th, at its regular time of 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.
Judgement is approaching, and by that we mean AMC’s premiere for its new show, Preacher.
Preacher is the long-awaited adaptation of Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s classic Vertigo comic book series, which ranks among the most violent and shocking comics of all time. The second episode will air following the season finale on July 31.

Sony-backed producer Embassy Row will produce Talking Preacher, with Michael Davies, Hardwick, Jen Patton, Brandon Monk and Brillstein Entertainment Partners executive producing. The series was developed for television by executive producers Rogen & Goldberg and executive producer and showrunner Sam Catlin. The show follows Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), a West Texas preacher who receives the power to speak with the voice of God and becomes enmeshed in a whirlwind drama with his ex-girlfriend/assassin Tulip (Ruth Negga) and a vampire named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun). Alongside his risky ex-girlfriend, Tulip (Ruth Negga), and an Irish vampire named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), Jesse and his friends are literally going to searching for God.
