Starting off with a montage of scenes dedicated to the more hopeful past moments of each character, the trailer soon ventures into their latest darkest challenge-facing against the murderous Negan. “If a character is killed off the show and it doesn’t hurt, if it doesn’t upset somebody, then we weren’t doing our job”, executive producer David Alpert explained of the process behind picking who gets offed. They (mostly) delivered. Of course The Walking Dead didn’t spoil the identity of Negan’s victim (or victims) at SDCC.
The Walking Dead season 7 will premiere on Sunday, October 23.
Naturally, at the top of every mind is who did Negan kill, which will be revealed in the first episode.
Viewers in 125 countries across the world will be able to see the episode, which is distributed internationally by Fox, within 24 hours of its USA debut.
