AMC’s Zombie Apocalypse Marches On With ‘Fear The Walking Dead’

With the first of six episodes set to be broadcast this Sunday, and a fifteen episode run that I suspect we’ll see next summer, there’s some solid anticipation for this show. But who or what is he running from?

Fear The Walking Dead is the spinoff of AMC’s super-popular, smash hit, The Walking Dead, which is heading to it’s sixth season. Fowler goes on to say the show “takes ample advantage of its large setting and new blood, utilizing everything “from churches and alleyways to beaches and freeways”.

The new series’ cast features Kim Dickens as Madison, Clark’s head of the family, Alycia Debnam-Carey as her daughter Alicia and Frank Dillane as her son Nick. Liza enrolled in a nursing school to pursue her primal call to help people in need.

A widowed mother of two teens, Madison has just moved in with her boyfriend (who also has a family of his own) and is generally trying to make the best of life.

That’s right, those who work on the show have said that it’s going to remain a mystery because they don’t want to put a label on it, and instead want to just deal with the aftermath.

Fame doesn’t guarantee immunity to the mystery disease in the world of “The Walking Dead“.

“I think it’s really about the characters and the show feels very real and believable; so the take on this show is how believable everything is”.

The fact that fans of The Walking Dead, which enters Season 6 in October, will know more about zombies than the Fear characters intrigues Rodriguez. “It’s going to add a lot to the show’s dynamics”.

“Colonel Kurtz embraces a belief system that for us is inhumane and immoral, but it makes total sense to him”, continued Erickson. Now, it’s time you get acquainted with Los Angeles’ Patient Zero, Gloria played by actress Lexi Johnson.

A special 90-minute episode of FEAR THE WALKING DEAD debuts tonight on AMC followed by the return of super-fan CHRIS HARDWICK’s panel discussion TALKING DEAD.

“I really wouldn’t mind if he popped down to LA, maybe got on a motorbike, we could go down watch some baseball, maybe have a couple of beers – and I could get some tips on how to use one of those rifles”. Erickson said one of Kirkman’s notes for Fear was that the zombies be different than how they were first seen on the original show. Although the series that became Fear The Walking Dead was announced in September 2013, it was in development long before that.
