Video by Carlos Monarrez, DFP. The Lions starting running back wasn’t Detroit’s only playmaker to go down against the Titans. Ameer Abdullah left the game after a couple of huge dekes resulted in a foot injury.

ESPN’s Josina Anderson first reported Abdullah’s pending visit to Charlotte. The 2015 second-round pick had a big Week 1 performance against the Indianapolis Colts, recording five receptions for 57 yards with a touchdown and 63 rushing yards.
Abdullah, who had six carries for 38 yards at that point, did not play in the first series of the second half.
Jim Caldwell did not provide any substantial updates on the injuries in his postgame press conference. “He was productive obviously on the carries that he had and I think he’s coming along”, Caldwell said.
Fantasy Impact: Abdullah and Detroit will be facing off against a much tougher defense than they saw a week ago when they welcome the Tennessee Titans to town on Sunday.
But the Lions were especially hurting at linebacker. He recorded 14.5 sacks last season.
If Abdullah can’t play against the Packers, Theo Riddick likely will start at running back and rookie Dwayne Washington will play a sizable role off the bench.
