Hillary Clinton made history Tuesday night when she became the first woman nominated by a major political party to be president of the United States.
The Democratic convention has been marked by a star-studded week of powerful speeches from President Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, Vice-President Joe Biden, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders as well as former president Bill Clinton. “Her refusal to even say the words “Radical Islam”, or to mention her disaster in Libya, or her corrupt email scheme, all show how little she cares about the safety of the American people”, Mr Miller claimed. Happy for boys and men, too – because when any barrier falls in America, for anyone, it clears the way for everyone.
“When there are no ceilings, the sky’s the limit”, she said.
The convention has been rocked with intra-party strife, as supporters of Sen.
She gave a nod to the recent mass shootings in Dallas, pointing to it as a moment of American unity. Bernie Sanders for their input, but Clinton’s message was far from the extreme progressive values that overshadowed the beginning of the convention.
Nebraska may be a “red” state, but Hillary Clinton will campaign in Omaha on Monday, Aug. 1. “So just ask yourself, you really think Donald Trump has the temperament to be commander-in-chief?”
And her take? “We heard Donald Trump’s answer last week at his convention”. “The truth is, through all these years of public service, the “service” part has always come easier to me than the “public” part”, Clinton said in a masterstroke of self-serving self-deprecation. Clinton faces perhaps the toughest challenge any speaker can face – following a string of speeches that hit home runs with Democrats.
She will make her case for the White House as the event draws to a close.
Clinton won Texas’ March 1 primary by more than 30 points, resulting in a heavily pro-Clinton delegation here this week.

All eyes will be on Hillary Clinton Thursday night but a few MI women will be taking the stage tonight prior to the big speech. You may remember that the previous week, Trump shouted out a rambling, hate-filled speech with pointed jabs full of his usual suspects: he’s going to build a wall, ban all muslims, make America great again, etc. Hillary took umbrage with that, and pointed out his weaknesses while driving home her own.
