America is Shooting Itself to Death: Twitter Reacts to Baton Rouge

In a city already tense following a high-profile police shooting of an African-American man, three Baton Rouge police officers were killed and three others wounded Sunday.

Authorities did not immediately say where the Sunday morning shooting occurred, or release additional details.

“I can’t explain what brought us here”, she said.

Earlier, Baton Rouge Police spokesman Sgt. Don Coppola confirmed that several officers were shot by gunfire, The Advoate reported.

Obama extended his sympathies and prayers to the families, who are grieving, especially the officer in critical condition.

Reports earlier on Sunday indicated that shots had been fired at the scene before police arrived, indicating that officers may have been lured into some sort of trap.

In 2007, Officer Jackson was among the Baton Rouge officers who suffered from smoke inhalation while trying to save an infant in an apartment fire.

In a statement on the Baton Rouge police shootings, President Obama had a message for all Americans about rhetoric that divides, but without mentioning his name, Obama also appeared to be talking about Donald Trump.

“The man I was with broke down crying”, Jackson said.

“Somebody might have seen something suspicious, may know of guys plotting to do this”. In all, three offers were killed and three others injured in the latest violence between police and civilians.

Cavalier said he can not help but be personally scarred by how bad things have become in the city he calls home.

“He cried when he found out that he was going to have a son and he was so excited, you know”.

The Rev. Al Sharpton decried the shooting of the officers, and noted that he and other civil rights figures have consistently called for peace. “We certainly don’t condone violence”. Jackson had been with the police department for ten years. The Dallas gunman, Micah Johnson, 25, was killed by police deploying a bomb-carrying robot against him.
