America’s space champ ready to end yearlong flight, get home

Humans are capable of overcoming any type of space travel challenges, said Commander Kelly.

On Tuesday, Kelly’s return to Earth will take less than 3½ hours. They’ll board their Soyuz with cosmonaut Sergey Volkov, who shuttled the spacecraft up last September. They will land in Kazakhstan.

Spending so much time cooped up in a million-pound mobile laboratory cruising through the cosmos at 5 miles per second isn’t as effortless as it looks.

It’s not exactly a full-on moon base, but it would at least get us a good bit closer to our nearest celestial neighbor. This was the first time we have done indepth omics profiles on twins.

A former Texas death row inmate freed almost 30 years ago is accused of kidnapping and raping a woman in Colorado. Fluid shifts deal with changes in the visual system while field tests deal with post-landing capabilities of astronauts immediately after long spaceflights.

The space veteran says he has witnessed some of the most unbelievable scenes of Earth during his mission, like spotting the northern lights, passing over the Bahamas and watching huge storms like Hurricane Patricia. “It looks at our ability to adjust to those different positions. So we do have a pretty significant capability to bring back stuff on SpaceX that you might not imagine”.

The experiments won’t stop there.

A global recall of almost 2.9 million Toyota SUVs was prompted by a Canadian investigation into a crash that killed two people.

The resulting science won’t come quickly. The space station remains the springboard to NASA’s next giant leap in exploration, including future missions to an asteroid and Mars. Kelly even watched “The Martian” in space. Such knowledge is crucial for eventually sending astronauts to Mars.

There’s also the matter of creature comforts. In cramped conditions, personal space will be even more important. Only after that would a Mars mission make sense, he said. Later next week, he won’t be able to do that.

Russian cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko launched with Kelly in March 2015, and researchers can also compare the changes experienced by the astronauts. I need to train to keep fit so that I can return home fit and healthy. After medical tests there, he will return to Houston on a NASA airplane and undergo subsequent tests at crew quarters at the Johnson Space Center. But now it’s time to think about coming home.

One-year mission crew members Scott Kelly of NASA and Mikhail Kornienko of Roscosmos celebrated their 300th consecutive day in space on Jan. 21 2016. By spending a total of 340 days aboard the International Space Station the astronauts
