This year, Toyota has been named a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality thanks to its flawless score of 100 on the 2016 Corporate Equality Index (CEI).
MGM Resorts, in 2004, was the first company in the gaming and hospitality industry to offer employees same-sex health benefits and, in 2011, expanded its supplier and construction diversity programs to include LGBT-owned firms, HRC said.
In alphabetical order, the following home retailers made the list of Best Places to Work for LGBT equality: Best Buy, Home Depot, J.C. Penney, Nordstrom, Office Depot, Replacements, Sears Holdings, Staples, Target Corp., TJX Companies and Walgreens. “It is an honor to be acknowledged once again by the Human Rights Campaign for our commitment to diversity and inclusiveness. Thank you to our team, especially our WPride and Allies business resource group, for continuing to evolve policies and practices for more than a decade to help ensure a welcoming workplace for all”. CVS Health joins the ranks of 391 major US businesses which also earned top marks this year.
About 850 companies were rated in the national benchmarking tool, which assigns points for corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality.
