The growth is impressive considering that several of the company casual apparel peers have failed to achieve even positive growth in revenues, amid an edgy retail environment, store consolidation, and fierce competition from fast fashion retailers. The company reported $0.42 EPS for the quarter. But American Eagle has made progress this year in improving its merchandise and controlling its inventory levels.
