American Horror Story: Hotel, Arrow, Criminal Minds
Because John (who, as a cop, had somehow never heard of Devil’s Night) woke up at the end and had been ticked into thinking he’d hallucinated it all.

What did you think of “Devil’s Night?”.
Sally went outside the Hotel Cortez on AHS: Hotel. The couple is here in order to avoid trick-or-treating. Liz Taylor assures him that “control is an illusion.” Duh. Ricky Ramirez takes the bedside lamp, bashing in the head of one of the hotel’s guests.
From there the focus shifts back to sad sap John Lowe.
Whether this means the singer will put her stage persona on hold to pursue other parts remains to be seen, but the role does mark a return to acting for Gaga, who studied at New York University’s Tisch School For The Arts, performed in musical theatre and even had a small, uncredited role in The Sopranos as a teenager. She then revealed that her son’s killer brought him to his ranch. No way all of these serial killers are still alive, right?
Jeffery Dahmer aka “The Milwaukee Cannibal”: John Lowe makes Jeffery Dahmer a quite man. Lowe fits the killer’s profile and Dahmer has gone an entire year without the taste of fresh meat. And that’s something he understands.
Miss Evers” son was killed back in the “20s. All the police found of her son was a bloody sheet. His bones were scattered in a mass grave. He’s shocked to find photos of Ms. Evers … who hasn’t aged a day.
In addition, after reuniting with her long-lost son Holden, in episode 3, Alex tries to diagnose his odd condition, and asks the Countess, “What did you do to my son?” However, he’s not the same. She takes his temperature and is surprised to find that it’s 75.5. She tells him he’s been alone the whole time and perhaps the absinthe and alcohol weren’t a good mix.
‘I don’t feel good. Then he said he needed his “other mommy”. Alex is in disbelief and storms off, threatening to call the cops. An eternity with her lost love in exchange for her undying loyalty. She knew everything about art, literature, fashion. She’s also putting herself in grave danger of being a victim of Ramona Royale, who wants to kill the children in particular. The Countess continues that Holden contracted an “ancient virus”.
‘I saved him, like I save all my children, ‘ said The Countess.
Alex pulled a gun on The Countess and demanded that she change her boy back. But unfortunately that’s not an option. It’s an offer that, we later learn, Alex, for all her threats to the Countess, couldn’t turn down.
‘Every year I go a little mad, ‘ she told him. He’s ready to kill her, but Countess Elizabeth tells him not to. Then she told John she knew “for a while we were kindred spirits”.
Before closing out, “Devil’s Night” caps off Alex’s situation with a change of heart. Among the reported attendees are real life criminals Aileen Wurnos (Lily Rabe) and John Wayne Gacy (John Carroll Lynch). I guess we can presume he’s never been anywhere near Detroit-because it’s a yearly custom where this writer is from.
Speaking of craziness, Sally (Sarah Paulson) shows up at Devil’s Night with a drug addict she’d picked up off the street to literally serve to the serial killers, who simultaneously stab the man to death.
The ghost of Aileen Wournos really needs to let this go.
Well he’s off the wagon now and following a long conversation with Aileen over drinks, he decides to invite her back to his room.
The banquet is, as you might expect, a sight to see. John deals with marital issues.
“I’m too drunk to care”, he fires back.
He should have listened to Liz Taylor. Hotel and today the episode is titled Devil’s Night.
John thinks it’s a Halloween costume, but he’ll learn that he’s sorely mistaken. And the fact that Alex is now the third character in three weeks to be transformed into a vampire most certainly devalued that closing moment. Finally, James March introduced himself, but John couldn’t believe it since he should be dead. John doesn’t see that though.
The group drinks absinthe and recants how they all got together. James has gathered a few of his favorite serial killers for dinner (and a special dessert).
There she was grabbed by hotel builder March, who invited Ramirez to ‘finish her off’. We know right away that there is to be a gathering of famous serial killers, and they’re all there to honor JP March. Wow! After a toast, the killers take their weapons of choice and take turns stabbing their victim.
Lowe: Do I know you?
Perhaps the biggest addition to the American Horror Story: Hotel story line comes in getting a deeper glimpse at John.
