American Horror Story: Hotel’s Opening Credits Will Give You Nightmares

With Season 5, Hotel premiering next Wednesday, AHS executive producer, Ryan Murphy has released the opening credits to the chilling new installment to the popular anthology.

Get ready American Horror Story fans.

And of course, it’s all set to a disturbing, effects-laden soundtrack. We can’t actually put our finger on what it is – it looks like a human crossed with an alien overlord.

Hotel” finally released the main title sequence. Images of unidentifiable people are interspersed with text of the Ten Commandments, and blink-and-you’ll-miss-them scenes of the comings and goings at the Hotel Cortez. Themes of god and the devil are usually prevalent in vampire lore and fiction, so it makes sense, especially if Gaga’s hotel is a few sort of unholy den of iniquity.

As seen on the video shared by Vanity Fair, the sneak peek featured Wes Bentley and Max Greenfield’s characters on the Hotel-themed season.

Murphy has said before that the opening credits are filled with clues, so things like gas masks, stitches and skeletons have all raised our suspicions about them playing a role in the storyline.
