In a bid to keep the theme of “American Horror Story’s” sixth season shrouded in mystery, the creators of the hit supernatural television show made a decision to release a handful of cryptic teasers ahead of the season’s premiere next month.

There are several theories about the new theme for “American Horror Story” Season 6.
The last season of the show, American Horror Story: Hotel, featured an all-star cast of Lady Gaga, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Wes Bentley, Matt Bomer, Chloë Sevigny, Denis O’Hare, Cheyenne Jackson, Evan Peters and Finn Wittrock.
Creepy enough. A few hours later, American Horror Story posted another promo to its Facebook page, completely different in style and tone.
Blind Date is the most obviously linked to Hollywood horror, channelling movies such as Creature From The Black Lagoon, The Blob and The Thing.
“Ryan decided it would be really fun to keep it a mystery, so we are”. And these teasers just give us even more questions and zero answers. “6” logo. That’s been the only clue about the season, and you can hear a chainsaw whir, probably not to trim some spruce. One theory for which a good case can be built is that the theme of this year’s American Horror Story will be the Manson family. They offered me another season but I got offered a reality show in London and I needed the money. We can therefore we bow down and take our troubles patiently waiting for the 14 September … “ONE OF THE IS ACCURATE, AND THE OTHERS ARE ALL MISDIRECTS”, said John Landgraf FX Networks’ CEO during the TCA summer press interview.
Of course, Paulson has had experience playing a real-life person before – the actress played often-mocked prosecutor Marcia Clark in The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story earlier this year. It’s a tone we don’t normally see from American Horror Story.
