‘American Idol’ Alum Constantine Maroulis Arrested For Domestic Violence

Constantine Maroulis was arrested Wednesday morning at his home in Wyckoff for allegedly kicking the mother of his 4-year-old daughter. “He thanks his family, friends, fans and supporters for their continued faith and trust in him during this challenging time and assures them that their belief in him is warranted”.

The man was charged with assault and released on less than $500 bail, authorities said.

Maroulis’ rep, however, says he was the victim.

Maroulis’ rep told TMZ Reed got violent with him when he tried to break up with her, even throwing something at him that hit his thigh.

Maroulis, of course, is best known for his run on “American Idol”. He additionally starred in Jekyll & Hyde on Broadway.The “American Idol” alum came in sixth place within the reality show’s fifth season, which was won by country show star Carrie Underwood. He went on to a solo singing career, before embarking on acting.

The “Rock of Ages” star was arrested for allegedly kicking the mother of his child when an argument broke out over his announcement that he’s leaving her, TMZ reported.
