Estonia’s Foreign Ministry has confirmed that two Estonian nationals were injured in the attack, but is yet to give further details. US officials confirmed that two Americans were killed in the attack, but did not name them.
Back here in Texas, the Copeland family is now mourning the loss of Sean Copeland and his 11-year-old son Brodie, who are among the dead in France.
Mr Copeland was on holiday with his wife and their children in France.
According to local media reports, Brodie played youth baseball and his father was a coach. Alyssa Weaver, Sean’s niece, says the family is asking for prayers.
Up to 84 people were killed in the attack and many more were wounded. The photo was sent to the club earlier on Thursday, according to the Facebook post. “Nobody deserves this type of fate, especially not such a wonderful family”, states the post. You are in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers.
“One of our original PTC Aces players, Brodie Copeland, lost his life today along with his father Sean, in the attacks in Nice, France”.
A spokeswoman for the family tells our partners at the Austin American-Statesman the two were in the midst of a European vacation, and were celebrating Bastille Day in France.
