Americans want to see Hillary Clinton’s deleted emails: Donald Trump campaign
They paid an effective federal income tax rate of 34.2 percent and donated nearly 10 percent of their adjusted gross income to charity, the campaign said.

Clinton, who filed jointly with her husband, paid an effective federal income tax rate of 34.2% a year ago, and the Clintons donated 9.8% of their adjusted gross income to charity, according to the campaign.
Clinton’s running mate, U.S. Senator Tim Kaine of Virginia, along with his wife, Anne Holton, released 10 years of tax returns. Clinton has endorsed a rule named after billionaire investor Warren Buffett that would ensure those making more than $1 million a year pay a tax rate of at least 30 percent.
The release comes as Clinton seeks to apply pressure to Republican opponent Donald Trump, who has not released his tax returns, and sow doubt about the businessman’s honesty and civic participation.
The tax return shows that they paid $3.24 million in federal income taxes.
“In stark contrast, Donald Trump is hiding behind fake excuses and backtracking on his previous promises to release his tax returns”, Palmieri continued.
Along with the taxes, Ms Clinton’s campaign released a video featuring Republican leaders saying Mr Trump should make his filings public.
The Democratic VP candidate also released his tax returns and they are a little more pedestrian.
While Trump has cited an IRS audit as his reason for not releasing his taxes, the agency said in a statement this year, “Nothing prevents individuals from sharing their own tax information”. Every major-party nominee since the late 1970s has released tax returns before Election Day. Republicans have seized upon the millions in speaking fees and a tone-deaf comment by Clinton in a 2014 interview that she was “dead broke” after leaving the White House in 2001. “What is he trying to hide?” They also made $109,000 in interest and dividends.
The Clintons’ income was down from 2014, when they had a total income of about $28 million.
In recent years they have collected tens of millions of dollars in fees for speeches, including some delivered overseas and others sponsored by financial institutions.
The Clintons earned $21 million in 2007, as Hillary Clinton, then a USA senator, was running for president. She commanded her highest rate from EBay, which paid her $315,000 for a March 2015 address in San Jose.
Bill Clinton’s consulting work for GEMS Education, a global network of for-profit schools based in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, earned him more than $5.6 million in fees between 2010 and 2015, according to the tax returns. Factoring in state and local taxes, their effective tax rate was 43.2 percent.
