USA carriers Sprint and Cricket Wireless have said they, too, will join the effort to facilitate communication to those affected by Hurricane Patricia by waiving fees for calls and texts from the U.S.to Mexico.
The experts say a monster storm like Hurricane Patricia could form in the Atlantic and take aim at Florida – or any other storm vulnerable area.
“What has surprised us was the rapid increase (in the storm) to the point it reached Category 5 strength”, Lopez said.
However, Patricia weakened and dropped below hurricane force after it made landfall on the Pacific Coast of Mexico.
