As the Democratic National Convention kicked off in Philadelphia on Monday, it delivered plenty of fodder to your favorite talk show hosts.

Feingold predicted that Democrats would be “very unified” at their convention, despite the Wasserman Schultz blow-up and ongoing bitter feelings among supporters of Vermont Sen.
On the first night of the Democratic National Convention, first lady Michelle Obama stole the show on the same night Boston Mayor Marty Walsh and U.S. Senator from Mass. Elizabeth Warren also took the stage. Donald Trump accepted the GOP nomination, but party divisions flared when his chief rival, Texas Sen.
“I fear the day we elect a president who defines being an American in the narrowest possible of terms, who shouts, bullies and profits off of the vulnerable Americans”, she said. It’s expected to peak Monday, the convention’s first day, with temperatures possibly hitting 100 degrees.
“Any objective observer will conclude that – based on her ideas and her leadership – Hillary Clinton must become the next president of the United States”, Sanders told delegates, spurring a cascade of cheers.
In a statement, Clinton thanked Wasserman Schultz and said she would serve as a surrogate for her campaign and as honorary chairwoman of a 50-state program to build the party in every part of the country. “The party leadership must also always remain impartial in the presidential nominating process, something which did not occur in the 2016 race”, he said.
Trump’s campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, agreed, saying Sanders’ supporters “have a lot to complain about”. Earnest said. “That’s one indication of the condition of the Democratic Party”. Irate, in fact, that the emails confirmed their long-held suspicions the party had favoured Clinton all along.
He also attacked Clinton’s new running mate Tim Kaine, the governor of Virginia, saying that he’s “done a bad job for Virginia”, and “nobody even knows who he is”. Branding himself a democratic socialist, Sanders galvanized young and liberal voters with his calls to rein in Wall Street and eradicate income inequality. These emails aren’t about the DNC disenfranchising the candidate Bernie Sanders. “I think the ballroom and the people that run this hotel should be ashamed of themselves”. “It proves our point that they’ve tried to marginalize him and make it as hard as possible”. “My Southern Baptist peeps would draw a big difference between a Jew and an atheist”.
Trump has since said he was being “sarcastic”, but Wasserman Schultz told the National Jewish Democratic Council that his comments were irresponsible.
Ohio’s Michael Skindell, a Sanders delegate, said Monday he plans to “strongly support the nominee of the party”. Tim Kaine. He said most viewed Kaine as not progressive enough and that there had been discussion about a variety of protest actions at the convention, including walking out. Referring to Trump’s penchant for tweeting, she said of the presidency: “It can not be boiled down to 140 characters”.
“He is more conservative than I am”.
“I hope not”, Sobel said when asked if Wasserman Schultz was in danger in the district, as well. Instead, many Bernie Sanders supporters chanted his name, booed Sanders when he endorsed Clinton and even went as far as chanting “lock her up”.

Zinn and other Sanders allies on the party’s Rules Committee had wanted to see Democrats completely ban superdelegates-the party members allowed to support the candidate of their choice, regardless of how their state voted in the primary.
