Turkish state-run media said Saturday that parliament’s agreement to restore relations with Israel would exclude Israeli individuals from liability and allow Turkey to deliver humanitarian aid to Palestinians.
“One of them is a 20-year-old (young man) who was hit by shrapnel in the face”, said Ashraf al-Qudra, spokesman for the Palestinian health ministry in Hamas-controlled Gaza. Palestinian reports also indicated that the earlier Israeli air strike hit a Hamas lookout point, and that an Israeli tank shell damaged a Beit Hanoun water tower.
“We will continue to protect innocent Israeli citizens from the firing of rockets into our territory according to worldwide law and in accordance with our responsibility and conscience”, the Israeli Foreign Ministry’s response read.

Television footage showed that a music festival, which was attended by hundreds of Israelis, got disrupted after the attack by the militants. No group has claimed responsibility for the rockets fired into the Israeli town of Sderot.
Israel says the Gaza blockade is needed to curb arms smuggling by Hamas, an Islamist group that last fought a war with Israel in 2014.
The Israeli military emphasized that Israel is holding Hamas responsible for every act of aggression issuing from the coastal enclave.
