Socialite and columnist Shobha De received a lot of flak when she commented about Indian Olympics contestants’ performances saying, “Goal of Team India at the Olympics: Rio jao”.
Amitabh Bachchan is quite passionate about sports, and we can make this claim because of his frequent tweets on the Olympics, and even cricket (remember the Harsha Bhogle episode?).
For the uninitiated, Shobhaa De had mocked Indian athletes participating at Rio on Twitter.

With everyone back home glued to the TV, Sindhu beat Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara in a nail-biting semi-final, earning herself an assured silver medal and a potential gold. Well, now Senior Bachchan has also wittily slammed De. Karm bolta hai aur wo kabhi kabhi “kalam” ko bhi hara deta hai!
