The Creative Arts Emmys, which took place on Saturday and Sunday night, marked a historic event for two artists.

A coronation! While you cannot explain yesterday why Game of Thrones will sweep the Emmy, it’s no surprise that we have witnessed the beginning of the coronation of the HBO series.

The other nominees were Michael J. Tonight Mr. Robot series composer Mac Quayle won Outstanding Music Composition For A Series (Original Dramatic Score) for the episode “eps1.0_ hellofriend. mov”, one of two nominations tonight with another Creative Emmy nomination tomorrow.

The biggest victor was “Game of Thrones” with a solid nine victories across several technical categories, while “The People v. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story” also took home four.

Hank Azaria was top dramatic guest actor for Showtime’s “Ray Donovan“, and Peter Scolari was top comedic guest actor for HBO’s “Girls“. While Poehler was technically a joint victor with her long-time friend and collaborator Tina Fey, the two were awarded an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for their dual-hosting of Saturday Night Live’s Christmas episode.

The Primetime Emmy Awards 2016 will be broadcasted live on ABC on Sunday, September 18, at 9 pm ET.
