After stirring speculation that her Comedy Central series Inside Amy wouldn’t be back for another season, comedienne Amy Schumer has said that the show is merely going on hiatus as she pursues other projects.

After receiving backlash for not addressing Kurt Metzger’s recent comments on rape, Schumer tweeted of the “Inside Amy Schumer” writer, “Kurt does not work for me”.
Metzger had been vocal on social media after the Upright Citizens Brigade banned fellow comedian Aaron Glaser after multiple women accused Glaser of rape. “I’ve asked him, ‘Can you just stop?'” “There are no writers for it”, she stated.
Well, eventually she started tweeting that she didn’t agree with Metzger’s post and clarified that he was no longer a writer on her show.
Schumer also again insisted Metzger wasn’t now a writer for her, because the show isn’t now in production: “Nobody’s on my staff, there are no writers”. “There are no writers for it”.
Amy Schumer made it very clear during an interview with Charlie Rose on Thursday night that she does not share the same views as Inside Amy Schumer writer Kurt Metzger.
Early in January, Comedy Central announced they would be renewing a fifth season of Inside Amy Schumer. Schumer suggested she became a comedian after her voice cracked during the chanting of the Torah portion and the congregation erupted in laughter.
While Schumer has made a series of Inside Amy Schumer every year since it began, she has recently seen her film career take off following the success of Trainwreck in 2015.
“He gets something from going after people and making them mad”.

Metzger, who has written for Inside Amy Schumer since 2013 and also counts Horace and Pete and Ugly Americans among his acting credits, has sparked controversy lately over his statements about rape. “When a woman says she was assaulted, a lot of people’s first reaction is to say, ‘No you weren’t, ‘” she said.
