Metzger has taken heat for inflammatory comments about victims of sexual assault.

“They want (Metzger’s) head, they want to burn him at the stake”, Schumer said, referring to angry social media commenters who slammed the writer.

“Clarifying her earlier tweets that were posted in response to Kurt Metzger’s controversial comments about sexual assault, the comedienne tweeted, “#InsideAmySchumer is not cancelled”.

“She said Metzger was her friend, and he was on her show specifically to bring that “out-there male perspective” into the writers” room.

Neither Schumer nor Comedy Central have made any official statements regarding the future of the show. “I am just touring”.

Amy has become increasingly busy and famous in the past year thanks to her 2015 movie Trainwreck, her popular sketch show, and 2016 memoir The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo. After all, he’d served as a writer, producer, and occasional actor on her popular Comedy Central show since its debut in 2013.

Then another United States comic, Kurt Metzger, who is a friend of Schumer’s and has written for her show, Inside Amy Schumer, made a decision to weigh in. She later posted, “Kurt does not work for me”.

Inside Amy Schumer will return for a fifth season, but after that, its future is undecided, the show’s star Amy Schumer confirmed in a series of tweets Thursday.

In fact, Schumer admits that Metzger’s skewed viewpoint is part of why he’s such a good fit for “Inside Amy Schumer”. “And you know, I’ve asked him, ‘Can you just stop, because it comes back to me?'” She then reiterated that she does not agree with “whatever tangent he’s gone off on”, and said the show is now taking a break.

According to the “Inside Amy Schumer” star, the show is on hiatus because she is now on a promotional tour for her book, “The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo”.
