Metzger, who has written for Inside Amy Schumer since 2013 and also counts Horace and Pete and Ugly Americans among his acting credits, has sparked controversy lately over his statements about rape.

Glaser had been accused of sexual assault on a female comedians’ private Facebook group, said Variety, noting that Metzger was critical of the group and the accusers.
Fans bombarded Schumer with tweets about the writer and she responded by retweeting a fan who said “we’ll miss your show”, insinuating briefly that the fifth season was never going to hit the airwaves after the Metzger drama had unfolded. After blocking numerous more abusive critics, Schumer responded to the situation with a series of messages.
Amy Schumer sent fans into a tizzy Wednesday night with a tweet implying that her Comedy Central show Inside Amy Schumer has ended.
She declared that his words were not hers.
Has Amy Schumer disappointment over her show’s writer’s controversial comments about rape led her to decide to cancel her show? “Especially Jessi Klein, who’s the head writer of the show”.
Amy Schumer has confirmed she is no longer making her sketch show Inside Amy Schumer. “But to focus your energy on online trolling I wouldn’t get anything done”, she said. “And I’ve asked him, ‘Can you just stop?’ Because it comes back to me”, she continued. We are slated for a season 5 but not in the foreseeable future, she tweeted Thursday morning. “However, I know these are serious accusations, and I know they are untrue”.
“People have different understandings of what sexual assault is, what rape is”, she told Rose.
“I’m grateful @ComedyCentral is giving me this time to work on other projects”, she continues.
“So let’s all get on the same page so it happens less”.

As for Inside Amy Schumer, Amy says it’s on hiatus, and that has nothing to do with Metzger’s comments nor does it mean he was sacked.
