She described a particularly violent incident when he shoved her onto the hood of a vehicle, bruising her head and elbow.

Amy Schumer is a powerhouse in the USA entertainment industry, thanks to her Emmy-winning TV series “Inside Amy Schumer” and box office smash “Trainwreck”. “I can’t remember all of their names, but I remember the nicknames I gave them (Third Ball, Pit Bull Guy, Cousin Steve-JKJKJKJK)”. Schumer concludes that humor has largely allowed to get her through these hardships, though as a reader you often find it hard to laugh. I mean it. She wrote about the non-consensual sex: ‘Without asking first, without kissing me, without so much as looking me in the eyes – or even confirming if I was awake’. “Very proud to be a bmaid”, Amy captioned an Instagram photo.

She does share some amusing but dark anecdotes, like about the time she and her sister were caught shoplifting at Bloomingdale’s, or how she found out about her mother’s third marriage when she discovered a photo of the ceremony while visiting home from college. Since late a year ago, she’s been dating Chicago-based furniture designer Ben Hanisch. Following an oddly-timed acupuncture appointment, Amy walked out into the rain and saw Ben, who had no umbrella but was holding a soaked paper bag, and in it was a bottle of wine.
