After stand-up comedian Kurt Metzger went on a Facebook tirade against rape accusations levied against another male comic, Inside Amy Schumer star Amy Schumer stepped in on Twitter.

After stirring speculation that her Comedy Central series Inside Amy wouldn’t be back for another season, comedienne Amy Schumer has said that the show is merely going on hiatus as she pursues other projects.

Amy Schumer may be friends with Kurt Metzger, but she does not endorse his recent controversial comments.

But the amusing quips stopped this past week, amid controversy with one of the show’s former writers, Kurt Metzger. “There are no writers for it”. She also retweeted a fan who said “we’ll miss your show”.

Amy Schumer has clarified comments she made about her TV sketch comedy Inside Amy Schumer, insisting it has not been cancelled. Should the cancellation be true, it will surprise many fans of the Peabody- and Emmy Award-winning series who have been looking forward to the show’s return in 2017.

Inside Amy Schumer is now on hiatus while the comedienne goes on an worldwide stand-up comedy tour and films a new movie with Goldie Hawn. She later posted, “Kurt does not work for me”.

Amy Schumer’s upcoming Naperville book talk has been cancelled, according to a press release from Anderson’s Bookshop.

“I would love to refocus the energy and the attention on the real problem, which is about rape, “she said”. “Let’s focus on actually getting the problem done”, she said.
