Amy Schumer says her TV show is over

While Mr. Metzger has worked on her Comedy Central series in the past, she explained that he’s not now her writer because there are “no plans for the TV show to come back anytime in the near future”. “He is a friend and a great writer and I couldn’t be more against his recent actions”.

The comedienne’s Inside Amy Schumer sketch show debuted in 2013 and in January (16) executives at USA network renewed the series for a fifth season, which is set to air in 2017.

As for the future of Inside Amy Schumer, the Trainwreck star didn’t offer any hope the series would be returning for a fifth season anytime soon.

But a new season seemed in doubt on Wednesday after Schumer’s cryptic message about writer Kurt Metzger.

That being said, Schumer explained that it’s Metzger’s controversial opinions that make him a good writer for her Comedy Central show.

The controversy surrounding Metzger erupted after he posted a series of strongly-worded Facebook rants stemming from accusations of rape against a fellow stand-up comedian. We are slated for a season 5 but not in the foreseeable future.

But she’ll have to take a break from all that to show up at the Emmy Awards next month.

After a confusing string of tweets, Amy Schumer clarified that her Comedy Central show is not canceled. “They want me fired from a job that doesn’t exist”.
