That being said, Schumer explained that it’s Metzger’s controversial opinions that make him a good writer for her Comedy Central show.

Schumer sent many of her Twitter followers into a tailspin when she responded to users outraged by a recent string of misogynistic posts by one of Inside Amy’s writers, Kurt Metzger.
The Upright Citizen’s Brigade is a well known improv comedy training centre that has launched the careers of Amy Poehler, Aziz Ansari and Donald Glover among others. He also said that he “specifically told her to do exactly what she did”, regarding Amy’s initial tweets about the controversy. So she finally chose to take some action about it and took to Twitter to explain her side. Comedy Central has not made any statements about the show but judging from Amy’s comments, the show is not going to be on air for the next scheduled season.
Amy Schumer, seen here at the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards on September 20, 2015, spoke out against former “Inside Amy Schumer” writer Kurt Metzger and his comments about rape. “And I’ve asked him, ‘Can you just stop?’ Because it comes back to me”, she continued. “She’s got a lot on her plate right now”, Herzog said, adding that later seasons are “to be determined”.
“I think Amy’s immediately viable movie career is something that she’s going to be pretty focused on going forward”. She begins by praising the point of view that he brings to her show, saying that it works well because it’s so different from her own sensibility. “However, I know these are serious accusations, and I know they are untrue”. We are slated for a season 5 but not in the foreseeable future, she tweeted Thursday morning.
“I was sexually assaulted”.
Schumer disagreed with him and tweeted, “I am so saddened and disappointed in Kurt Metzger”.
