Amy Schumer tweets a hint that her hit comedy series is over
When fans and critics demanded to know how Schumer could continue to employ Metzger, particularly given Inside Amy Schumer’s avowed feminist bent, Schumer went on to explain that Metzger “is not a writer on my show”.

You are reading news and information on LongIsland.com, Long Island’s Most Popular Website, Since 1996. Metzger took aim at the theater for the alleged banning, and also criticized the actions of the accusers. This led to speculation of the program’s demise until Schumer tweeted a few bits of clarification Thursday morning. “And you know, I’ve asked him, ‘Can you just stop, because it comes back to me?'” She then reiterated that she does not agree with “whatever tangent he’s gone off on”, and said the show is now taking a break. She pointed out that everyone should focus on getting the problem done because she was sexually assaulted and she encourages women to come out.
Her next tweet reads, “Doing Standup and focusing on writing more for the next year at least”. If she truly wanted to take a stand, she would have said Metzger is not now working on the show and won’t be in the future either.
She declared that his words were not hers.
Representatives for Schumer and Comedy Central, which has ordered a fifth season, had no immediate comment.
“I didn’t fire Kurt”, Schumer asserts.
Questions about the future of Schumer’s television series arose late Wednesday when she tweeted, “we aren’t making the show anymore”.
In Amy’s interview today, she suggested the real problem isn’t this one incident but society’s understanding of sexual assault. And it could reveal a big bombshell: that her show is over. “But to focus your energy on online trolling I wouldn’t get anything done”, she said. Kurt does not work for me.

Schumer is now promoting her memoir The Girl With the Lower Back Tattoo, in which she says she lost her virginity as a teenager when her then-boyfriend had sex with her without her consent.
