Jose Mourinho has held talks with Eden Hazard regarding a potential move to Manchester United.

After opting against hiring Mourinho when Alex Ferguson retired in 2013, the dismal failures of David Moyes and then Van Gaal have persuaded United owners, the Glazer family, to sanction the hiring of the controversial boss.

He told the club’s television channel that he wanted to “forget the past three years” at United.

“When I left Inter I said we had had a short time together but a great time”. (The fans) know what they can give me and what I can give them.

“Congratulations to Jose on being announced manager of the biggest club in the world”, former United star Rio Ferdinand said on Facebook.

“He has won trophies and inspired players in countries across Europe and, of course, he knows the Premier League very well, having won three titles here”.

At Porto, Chelsea, Inter and Real Madrid, triumph’s have been aplenty, with 3 Premier League titles, 2 Serie A titles, a La Liga title and 2 Champion’s League trophies amongst a number of other awards on Mourinho’s impressive CV.

United fans are excited by the prospect of the former-Chelsea manager, sacked in December, coming to the club.

Before the new season begins, Mourinho will have to face the fall-out from his second spell at Stamford Bridge. “You want action you bring Mourinho”.

The employment tribunal, which could take seven to 10 days, will be heard in public between June 6 and 24 unless a settlement is reached first.

The divisive Portuguese coach replaces Louis Van Gaal at Old Trafford after a less than satisfactory league campaign saw the Red Devils finish outside of the Champions League places.

United players who reportedly grew tired of the Dutchman’s endless tactical briefings should be warned that Mourinho is every bit as meticulous; he and his staff compile small dossiers in advance of every match, detailing the strengths and weaknesses of the opposition.

There was also a potential conflict between Mourinho’s personal deals and United’s own sponsors because the Portuguese coach has contracts with Jaguar and Hublot Watches, while United’s shirts sponsors are Chevrolet and they also have an arrangement with watchmaker Bulova.
