The brother of singer Christina Grimmie who was shot dead as she signed autographs after a concert in Orlando has broken his silence with a touching tribute on social media. She was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but died of her injuries.
Christina Grimmie’s brother Marcus, who tackled the gunman who fatally shot the singer on Friday night, has paid tribute to his sister on Facebook.
Grimmie participated in the sixth season of the singing competition, “The Voice” and finished in third place. Loibl came from St. Petersburg, Florida.
Although patrons had their bags and purses checked for weapons at the venue, there were no metal detectors and the security guards were unarmed, Mina said.
The note reads: “Deepest sorrow for lost [sic] to the family, friends and fans of the very talented, loving Christina Grimmie”.
One Instagrammer captured a clip from Grimmie’s opening set, featuring the singer performing “Without Him”, a love ballad from her 2016 EP, “Side A”.
A statement on the official Twitter page for the United States version of The Voice added: “There are no words. We are all praying hard that you can pull through this… this just isn’t fair”. “All I wanted to do was assist her in achieving her musical dreams while protecting her from the pitfalls associated with the business”.
