The Ducks and Chris Stewart are closing in on a one-year deal, according to The Orange County Register’s Eric Stephens.

Stewart played for Buffalo and Minnesota last season, collecting 36 points and 88 penalty minutes.
Anaheim announced the deal Sunday. He also picked up a pair of assists in eight playoff contests.
Financial terms were not disclosed, but the deal reportedly is worth $1.7 million.
Selected by Colorado in the first round (18th overall) of the 2006 National Hockey League Draft, Stewart split the 2014-15 season with the Buffalo Sabres and Minnesota Wild. The Wild sent a second-round pick in 2017 to the Sabres for the veteran.
It appears forward Chris Stewart could be on the move once again.

After scoring three goals and 11 points in 20 games for Minnesota, Stewart was held to two assists in eight Stanley Cup Playoff games before sustaining an upper-body injury in Game 2 of the Western Conferenced Second Round against the Chicago Blackhawks. Trading Etem got him winger Carl Hagelin, who’s another potential replacement for Matt Beleskey after Beleskey left via free agency.
