Ancelotti to replace Guardiola at Bayern
“Carlo Ancelotti has enjoyed success everywhere as a coach and has won the Champions League three time”.

Guardiola jetted home to Spain on Sunday for Christmas leaving Bayern to announce he will not extend his three-year contract with Ancelotti to take over as coach next season.
Bayern moved eight points clear at the top of the Bundesliga going into the winter break following a 2-1 victory over Hannover on Saturday.
Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal have all been linked with the former Barcelona boss.
Rummenigge said Ancelotti was “a calm, balanced expert, who can deal with stars and can play a flexible game”.
The 56-year-old will now be charged with building on the foundations laid for him by Jupp Heynckes and Guardiola and maintaining Bayern’s reputation as the most formidable force in the Bundesliga.
While preaching a possession-based game, patient build-up and a mean defense, Guardiola has altered Bayern’s style this season to be more ruthless in attack.
With Chelsea appointing Guus Hiddink until “the end of the season”, one would have to favour Chelsea for the future of Guardiola’s career.
He won three league titles, two Champions Leagues and a Copa del Rey while at the Nou Camp.
Having won the Champions League in 2009 and 2011 with Barcelona he has so far failed to bring Europe’s top domestic prize back to Munich.
But Guardiola’s team was torn apart by Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid 4-0 in Munich to go out 5-0 on aggregate in the semifinals of the Champions League.
In his first season in charge he broke the record for the fastest run to the Bundesliga title and extended Bayern’s dominance in the following campaign as defeats became increasingly rare and goals flowed freely.
“Some clubs have already made enquiries and I told them all the same thing: that I want to start again from next year”.
Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini is convinced Pep Guardiola will coach in the Premier League as speculation continues that the outgoing Bayern Munich boss could replace Pellegrini at the Etihad Stadium. “I am sure he will be very important for the club”.
Ancelotti, victor of three Champions League titles, signed a three-year deal, Bayern said.

Having guided Bayern to the semi-finals in his two seasons at the helm, Guardiola has won 62.5 per cent of his Champions League matches as a coach.
