According to the report, the snake robot was actually designed for the enhancement of knowledge of the biology of snakes and even to improve the efficiency of robots.
Scientists explained that the snake robot can even climb over the sandy hills.
In a study published in the journal Science, researchers report sidewinders improve their ability to traverse sandy slopes by increasing the amount of their body in contact with the granular surfaces.
