“There is one name I want to tell you that you will not hear in this broadcast tonight”. “They’re more than a list of names”. As Anderson Cooper shared the name and age of the youngest victim, a mere 18-year-old, it was clear that this was a hard moment as he visibly choked back tears.

Cooper, who clearly struggled at points, managed to find one moment to chuckle when a colleague of 25-year-old Leroy Valentin Fernandez said, “he sang Adele in the office that much, they couldn’t take it anymore”.

A GoFundMe page has been created to help support the victims of the Pulse shooting. He worked at a travel agency that catered to the gay community. “His family says he was witty, charming”, Anderson said, choking back tears.

He paused as the emotion overwhelmed him before adding: “And that he always left things better than he found them”. Anderson Cooper said that enough attention had been given to the man and they would not be doing that this time. “He was 32 years old”.

On Monday evening, all but two of the victims in the Orlando shooting had been identified and had their names released for remembrance and honor.
